In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where technology and automation are increasingly transforming the working environment, protecting workers’ health against risks such as pollution, psychological stress, occupational diseases, and the impacts of digital technologies has become an urgent necessity. At the same time, these changes also create opportunities for applying science and technology in occupational and environmental health monitoring, thereby contributing to improving quality of life and labor productivity.
The Vietnam Association of Occupational Health (VAOH) is a socio-professional organization representing individuals and institutions working in occupational health, occupational safety and hygiene, workers’ healthcare, and prevention of occupational diseases. The Association operates under a charter approved by the competent state authorities.
The National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health (NIOEH) is the leading national institute in the fields of occupational health, environmental health, and school health. The Institute is responsible for scientific research, professional training, technical guidance for lower-level institutions, provision of scientific and technical services, and consultation to the Ministry of Health on matters related to its specialized fields.
VAOH and NIOEH have more than 20 years of experience in successfully organizing national and international scientific conferences. In 2027, the two organizations will jointly organize the following activities:
1. The 6th International Scientific Conference and the 12th National Scientific Conference on Occupational and Environmental Health (ICOEH6-2027)
· Tentative date: March 25–26, 2027
· Venue: Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam
· Expected participants: Approximately 350 delegates, including domestic and international experts, scientists, representatives from ministries, agencies, local authorities, and enterprises.
Conference Theme:
“Occupational and Environmental Health: Opportunities and Challenges in the Digital Era.”
The Conference will include three plenary sessions, multiple thematic sessions, and exhibition booths displayed in the conference hall area.
2. Pre-Conference Events
Three training courses/workshops will be organized on March 23-24, 2027. Each course/workshop is expected to host 30–50 participants who are professionals working in occupational and environmental health from provinces and enterprises nationwide.
